Position Summary:
This position is to assist in entering customer orders into the job costing system, ensure all information for job costing and analysis is correct and all inventory information is accurate. This position also includes quoting responsibilities for new and existing products and mold repairs. Assist with customer shipments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Costing & Inventory Management:
- Order Entry: Enter customer purchase orders into the job costing system and distribute customer acknowledgements
- Data Accuracy: Monitor jobs for accuracy and make corrections to recorded data as necessary
- Inventory Transactions: Process material issues, inventory transfers, shipping charges, pack lists, job closings, and requested reports within the job costing system
- Non-Conforming Product: Process orange tags for non-conforming products and make required system adjustments
- Pricing & Revisions: Maintain pricing updates, part revisions, templates, and PECO changes within the job costing system
- Template Creation: Create templates for new products and maintain system setup information accurately
- Quoting: Prepare quotes for new and existing products, mold repairs, and maintaining accurate customer and pricing records
Production Control & Customer Support:
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers and co-workers regarding schedule changes and customer requirements in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager.
- Shipment Coordination: Assist with customer shipment setup and shipping documentation as needed.
- Traveler Distribution: Distribute travelers and production documentation to appropriate departments.
- Toolroom Jobs: Create and audit annual toolroom jobs, ensuring tooling requisitions are applied correctly.
- General Jobs: Create quarterly general jobs and break-time jobs while auditing and closing prior-year jobs as required.
Documentation & Administrative Support:
- Electronic Filing: Collect, prepare, scan, and electronically file all job-related documentation.
- Reporting: Generate reports and maintain accurate production and inventory records.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
Experience: 1–2 years of related manufacturing, production control, inventory, customer service, or administrative experience/training preferred
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel; ability to learn and utilize specialized job costing and inventory software systems.
ERP/Job Costing Systems: Knowledge of job costing, inventory tracking, shipping, and reporting systems preferred.
Math & Reasoning: Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, proportions, area, circumference, and volume; ability to analyze and interpret production and inventory data accurately.
Language: Ability to read and interpret procedures, manuals, schedules, and customer documentation; ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management.
Organization: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and documentation accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
